Dear HMC Members,
Merry Christmas to All. Last Dec. 18, 2009, an unexpected yet hilarious
event happened as HMC Pinoy Tennis Club members again proves its
strength. A 1 day double tennis tournament was about to be held at 1 PM,
but due to some rain, before it even started, the organizer have the
feeling of ambivalence, whether to push it or not. Inspite of this,
almost all players came and gave this support as everyone was so eager to
play the game, the gush of rain again fell, so khalifa tennis staff,
used their gadget to dry the grounds, since players are not going. 2
times it happened. So, as time goes, the organizer decided to cancel the
double tennis tournament, instead, to continue with single tournament as
per requested by the players, which has been started a month ago.
It was a fun day, because you can see how the members in as much as they
can, want to play continuously even with rain. They showed their desire
and support. It was even spiced up with the fact, that day was also a
QATAR INDEPENDENCE DAY .
Inside the court, a fun game was happening while outside of Khalifa,
people are having feast celebrating the day's event. Game by game, hour
by hour, all players are overwhelmed and happy, as little food with hot
coffee was also been served. It was a spectacular day, that nobody
noticed the time.
Finally at exactly 8 PM, the day's event has struck the place, as great
fireworks started to blow in corniche area, it was so huge & so
spectacular that all members, players, family and children enjoyed
watching the 30 minutes grandeous air fireworks. It was so strucking and
so beautiful. That days tournament was done with great joy as everybody
enjoys too much, coz even the 1 day tournament was not push, still
single tournament was held.
We will continue to update you on the new schedule of 1 day double
tennis tournament, which might be expected to happen after Jan. 9, 2010.

inspite of all constraints. We would like to give that gratitude to
them. 2nd, to all members, players, family and even friends who are
there to support. Rest assured that the club will continue to provide
ways to make this organization grow and continue to benefit all its
members, in obtaining its goal. 3rd, to Mr. Giancarlo, Khalifa Tennis
Manager, for giving us the slot that we want, inspite of on short
notice, we truly appreciate it.
